The course deals with the study of electric and magnetic fields; resistive, dielectric and magnetic materials, coupled circuits, magnetic circuits and field, and time-varying electromagnetic fields. It involves a review of vector analysis and types of the coordinate system (Cartesian, cylindrical and spherical coordinate systems). Topics covered are dot and cross product of vector, Coulomb's law and electric field intensity of different charge configuration (volume, point, line sheet charge), electric flux density, Gauss's Law, divergence, Maxwell's equations and energy and potential.
