This course examines the philosophical, psychological, and social foundations of Education with a particular emphasis on teaching a culturally diverse population. Moreover, this will also include the major branches of philosophy as well as the classroom application of educational philosophies.

Lecture Unit : 3 units – 9 hours/week
Course Outcomes :
After completing this course, the students must be able to:
1. Examine the philosophy and philosophy of education;
2. Identify its major branches;
3. Apply the educational philosophies in the classroom;
4. Evaluate the relevance of educational philosophy to the teaching- learning process.
